Eholo collaborates with Psychologists Without Borders: a pillar in psychological intervention in emergencies
Psychologists Without Borders is an organization committed to psychological care in crisis and emergency settings. Its mission is to ensure access to emotional and mental support for people who need it most, especially in situations of vulnerability. They offer services such as:

- Coordination with local structures: It is essential to work with health and social services to prioritize urgent needs and avoid duplication.
- The community approach: A strategy that complements individual care by promoting the empowerment and active participation of affected communities.
- The Role of Self-Care: Prior training and emotional ventilation spaces help professionals manage emotional distress in emergency intervention.

The incredible intervention of the psychologist María Victoria in the DANA catastrophe in Sedaví, Valencia
The psychologist María Victoria was essential in coordinating the intervention at the City Hall of Sedaví, Valencia, where a safe area was set up in an institute to care for those affected. From this base, she managed to organize 60 female psychologists and coordinate with medical teams, nurses and social workers, ensuring a comprehensive and effective response.
Its efforts made it possible to prioritize attention to the most urgent cases, such as children, the elderly and those affected by serious psychopathologies, while structuring a support system for volunteers and professionals.

- Team coordination: Simplification of administrative tasks to maximize service time.
- Medical records: Medical records are well organized and digitized for easier access and easy referral of patients.
Final Thoughts
DANA made it clear that working together between organizations, professionals and technological tools can make a difference. Psychologists Without Borders, led by Ofelia Almeida, and the initiative of psychologist María Victoria are examples of how to face crises with empathy, effectiveness and professionalism.
At Eholo, we are proud to have contributed to this work and we deeply thank all the professionals who have joined the cause. Their commitment shows that, with the right tools, psychologists can focus on the essentials: offering support to those who need it most.
